Make a Difference

Vantage Hospice considers volunteers an integral part of the care we provide to the community. Please find the opportunities listed below. Should you be interested in one of the positions, please feel free to download the employment form and the volunteer form and return to (list office/fax):

Programs that involve direct patient support or administrative duties would require an application process and interview, just as our employees.

  • Vet2Vet:

is designed so that our older veterans would be teamed up with a younger member of the same branch. This program encourages and supports our veterans as it allows them to bond, discuss their travels, and experiences with another military member.

  • The “Honey-Do” Team:

is designed to assist the caregiver who is unable to complete those necessary chores and fix-its around the home.

  • Angels-in-Training:

is designed to provide compassionate individuals with education, training, and experience with bedside support to the patient and/or family. This is a one-on-one opportunity to guide a family through their end-of-life journey with loving support and attention.

  • Administrative:

Clerical duties may include filing, answering phones, preparing patient packets, and other duties that may be relevant to office work and as needed.

We also have opportunities that will not require an application process and are creative projects, not involving direct care or administrative duties. These supplementary programs include:

  • Prayer Shawl Team:

This is a group of individuals that have knitting or crocheting experience and are interested in making prayer shawls for our patients or families. The prayer shawl involves a spiritual practice wherein blessings and prayers are given to the patient and family as the shawl is made.

  • Rosary Team:

is designed for our Catholic patients and families. This is for a group of individuals who are experienced in jewelry making and interested in making a hand-crafted Rosary for the patients and/or family members

To select one of these programs, please complete the form below and press submit, and our volunteer coordinator will contact you regarding details

Vantage Hospice strongly encourages individuals wishing to volunteer their time in direct patient care to wait a minimum of one year following the death of a loved one.
